It's the news many have waited for... not me.... but I'm quite positive that many have been literally on the edge of their seats for this bit of info... DWTS announces the 'All-Stars' for the upcoming season. Blah, wutev!
It's the question that's been on the minds of Dancing With Stars fans since May: Who will compete on the show's all-star season?
On Friday, during the Television Critics Association summer tour in Beverly Hills, fans of ABC's long-running hit series finally got their answer.
Joey Fatone, Gilles Marini and Bristol Palin are among the returning contestants.
But what about some other fan favorites – as DWTS pro Tony Dovolani recently suggested to PEOPLE – such as Melissa Rycroft, Marissa Jaret Winokur or George Clooney's main squeeze Stacy Keibler?
Well, Rycroft is indeed in for another round of tough competition.
Also joining the show are Pamela Anderson, Kelly Monaco, Shawn Johnson, Kirstie Alley, Helio Castroneves, Drew Lachey, Emmitt Smith and Apolo Ohno.
ABC will let viewers vote for the 13th contestant, either Sabrina Bryan, Carson Kressley or Kyle Massey, and the winner will be announced on Aug. 27 on Good Morning America.
DWTS's all-star season premieres Sept. 24.
I am totally digging the athletes that DWTS is bringing back for the 'All-Star' season, as it is Olympic time and all... But I am having a real hard time digesting the fact that once again, Bristol Palin will find herself in the limelight. I understand that DWTS is CLEARLY going for the sensationalism factor with this one, but isn't the quick demise of her recent reality show, proof enough that America doesn't give a crap about this girl? I am going to go out on a limb on this one and chalk Palin making the show because of 1. Its political season... and 2. Who doesn't love a good train wreck? Money talks and good TV... Well, good TV barely exists...
